It’s been a difficult and busy start to the new year.
The bitter and freezing temperatures causing chaos for stray animals.
We were contacted regarding concerns for a mummy cat unable to walk properly and dragging her back leg
Three very kind gentlemen at a Autocentre close to the city centre had been providing food and shelter for mummy cat for the past few years.
We set a trapping plan for mummy who is unfortunately frightened of humans and her baby was quickly secured.
Black and white mummy has now been checked and spayed under general anaesthetic and we have called her Perla.
She’s now undergoing a period of cage rest in order to establish if she will recover from her injury as there wasn’t any obvious breaks, we are obviously praying she recovers whilst in rehabilitation.
Her delightful kitten we have named Paisley, thankfully the kind Samaritans at the garage handled her from being tiny so she’s friendly and loving.
More updates to follow on this lovely mummy and daughter.
Huge thanks to Daniel for his kindness and compassion and the other two chaps at the garage.
Life saving and life changing
