In 2024 we rescued a poorly stray in a devastating condition. He stayed with us for almost 3 months while we battled to save his life.
Farley was diagnosed with Calicivirus, a life threatening illness in some cases and very uncomfortable to live with for most.
Farley had a severe case and was a very poorly cat indeed. He required hospitalisation and syringe feeding, he was in so much pain.
On Christmas day, as if by miracle, Farley finally started to improve and by January, he was a completely different cat! ready to find his forever family home. It was such a relief to see him turn a corner, we honestly were’nt sure he would make it.
Farley found his forever family home in January 2025. The once devastatingly sick Doncaster stray now living his absolute best life in Penistone.
Gemma messaged us with a recent update…..
We have had Farley now Percy since January 2025, so just over a year. He is genuinely such a lovely cat and we love him so much. He gets on great with our other cat Ginny and he loves to be brushed.
He really loves cuddles and head boops to say hello and definitely likes being able to go outside to hunt and explore. He loves curling up on cushions and enjoys snoozing in his pink palace and he really likes watching TV! 😅
We feel so lucky to have him and also really pleased that his story has a happy ending with us, he has come through a lot and we are really grateful for everything you all did for him when you rescued him and nursed him back to health ❤️ He is a lucky boy 😊
